[ GUIDE · DEEPFAKE DETECTION ]

DEEPFAKE FRAUDIN BANKING.

Banks face deepfakes at three points: remote onboarding (selfie, video and ID images), voice channels (cloned or replayed calls) and document-based decisions (edited statements and payslips). The practical defence is to screen each media type with measured sensors, return a score with reasons to the decision engine, and send borderline cases to an analyst.

[ 01 ]

Remote onboarding and eKYC

Face-swap video, edited ID photos and injected media target liveness and identity checks. Screening the submitted media for editing and synthesis adds a layer that does not depend on the capture device.

[ 02 ]

Call centres and voice authentication

Cloned voices and replayed recordings are used for account recovery and payment instructions. Audio sensors check continuity, noise floor and encoding history, and results can be produced for recordings after the call.

[ 03 ]

Lending and document fraud

Payslips, statements and certificates can be altered with ordinary editors. Structure and typography sensors flag changed regions and show analysts exactly where to look.

[ 04 ]

Keep decisions with the bank

Thresholds and escalation rules belong to the bank. The software supplies a score, reasons and evidence, and logs every analyst decision for audit. Running on-premise keeps customer media inside the bank's environment.

Quick answers

Can deepfake detection be added to an existing KYC flow?

Yes. SpearTrace exposes an API for your decision engine and a review console for analysts, and runs inside your own environment.

Does the system decide whether to reject a customer?

No. It returns measured findings and reasons. The bank sets thresholds, and borderline cases go to a human analyst.
